Meet the Team: Q&A with Veronica Tejada

Here are Salt Jacket, our greatest asset is the people we are fortunate to work with. We love our team! In our latest Q&A we sat down with our rock star Service Manager, Veronica Tejada, to learn more about her and what makes her tick. Here’s what she had to say…

Hey Veronica! Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi, I’m Veronica! I’m from Dallas, Texas. I love to cook and eat. I have 3 kids and a goldendoodle named Nixon. 

What do you like about working in insurance?

I love to educate people on the importance of insurance and help them to understand what coverages really mean. Full coverage is not a thing, that is why I want them to understand every coverage that is out there. 

What inspires you and why?

I’m inspired by people's success. I love to see others grow in their field. If I am able to help them take their career to the next level, it inspires me. 

What are some things you like to do in your spare time?

I love to volunteer and give back to my church. Wherever I am needed, I am there!

Do you have a secret hidden talent?

Give me any random ingredients and I will turn it into a meal.

What drives you every day?

My family. I want to do great for them!

Do you have a story about someone you helped when they had a claim that would inspire readers of the blog?

When customers call in to review their policies, I make it a point to ask several questions to ensure they have the right coverage and are taking advantage of all available discounts. Last month, a customer reached out looking for ways to save money. I asked about his roof, which he had recently replaced with a hail resistant roof. By taking the time to understand his needs and situation, I was able to find opportunities for both savings and improved protection. I applied the hail resistance discount, which significantly reduced his costs, and upgraded his coverage limits from the state minimum (30/60/25) to $1.5 million, ensuring better protection for his assets. The customer's appreciation for my detailed approach highlights the value of personalized service. It’s clear that my commitment to reviewing and optimizing policies not only saved him money but also provided him with greater peace of mind.
