Job Summary
The Sales Agent’s primary role is generating new accounts for the agency through multiple methods. Achieving goals as a Sales Agent requires making outbound calls to prospects, customers and x-date leads. The Sales Agent is also responsible for answering incoming lead calls and building market through referrals and Centers of Influence. Successfully performing those activities will lead to agency growth with automobile, home, umbrella, and other insurance policies.
Job Responsibilities
Drive new accounts to the agency
New accounts are defined as having not been insured with the agency before.
Contact potential clients to create networking opportunities, and generate referrals for organic growth
Utilize lead manager to maximize sales potential
Follow up on x-dates and other policy generating activities
Follow agency processes to build rapport, ask qualifying questions and gather information to assess the clients risk profiles to offer them the proper solution
Sell compliant property, casualty, umbrella, and other types of insurance to consumers, customizing programs to cover a variety of risks to meet the needs of every individual
Guarantee that all necessary paperwork is filled out and filed to put the insurance policy in place
Utilize internal documentation requirements appropriately and when necessary
Communicate with our support staff to ensure needed follow ups are completed
